Is Miso Vegan?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone knows if miso is vegan? I’ve been trying to incorporate more plant-based foods into my diet and I love miso soup, but I’m not sure if it’s made with any animal products. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
