Is Cotton Candy Vegan?

Hey, i just wanted to ask about cotton candy. It has been stated on many websites that it is not vegan because of the gelatin used in its production. But I read that in the US, they are now making cotton candy without the use of gelatin. Is this true? Is Cotton Candy Vegan?
